What is high on my 2009 anticipated Jmovie list? You bet! It’s Crows Zero II! A sequel to the 2007 Crows ZERO.
Ahh, can’t wait to see Oguri Shun as Genji Takaya again. And ladies, guess who’s playing as his rival gang leader this time around? Miura Haruma!!! Miura plays Tatusya Mito, the leader of Housen Gakuen, the rival school of Genji’s Suzuran. It’ll be good to see Oguri Shun and Miura Haruma in a movie together . This will actually be the second time I will get to see them working side by side, being first in Binbo Danshi (a 9 episode JDorama) ~ in which both portrayed the total opposite of their characters in CZII i.e. innocent, dorky and naive. Only proves to show that both are very well talented actors.

Fans are speculating that IF there is gonna be a part III to CZ it’s probably gonna a prequel to Crow Zero, I really dunno. OR maybe they can do something like the Freshman Trio taking over Suzuran from GPS??
*sigh* as for me, I just feel it’s gonna be incomplete without Genji and Serizawa in CZ. I’m already very happy with Crows Zero and Crows Zero II, so I don’t want to be overly greedy for part 3. Hehe…maa, that’s just my 2 cents worth of opinion

Genji is so cool but I think the first movie is better. And the freshmen don’t fight yet! But overall, I’m satisfied. Can’t wait for Crows Zero 3~

If they do a prequel of the Crows Zero movies, then they’d have to call it Crows Zero – Zero. I think this is gonna be the last one people.
Finally had time to watch the original japanese version:
hey hey, at first i was kind of worried – izaki (my personal favourite) seemed kinda down for a long time, but it was fun how he cut sugiharas hair, haha. also i liked the scene when they are standing on the roof and looking down on the burning suzuran building. very athmospheric (i’m a gaijin, never mind my spelling, haha); but actually makise kind of gave me the creeps this time. in CZ1 it was kinda cute that he was such a loser with girls but this time it turned out kinda gross…. well
Yokata ne TanaelLoki. I have to agree with you: Izaki does look kinda down in the beginning. That scene where Izaki was cutting Sugiharas hair, I was actually thinking “Haha! Izaki got what he asked for!” If you remember in CZ when the Freshmen Trio wanted to have a dual with Izaki and his henchmen, Izaki actually told Sugihara to get a haircut first…(if i remembered it correctly)
Athmospheric indeed! (Doesn’t matter about spellings here ~ XD). As for me, I particularly dig the scene when GPS, Serizawa and his army, and the other Suzuran guys marched into the battlefield to fight together with Genji. KAKKOII!!!
Ooh, I found my liking for the Mikami brothers in CZII!

Haha, well of course it was pretty amazing when the final battle started, but that was to be expected from the very beginning so it didn’t particulary surprise me. And yeah, you do remember correctly what Izaki said in CZ1.
I was kind of disappointed that one of the Mikami brothers (aha, one is Manabu und who’s the other?) got a different hairstyle this time. But they are pretty funny to begin with so its cool.

but his scene at the hospital is one of the best pieces of acting throughout the entire film.
Genji went alone (at 1st) to fight with 149 guys…bUt as usual his backup comes….even Serizawa came & helped….they fight till the top of the school building. Genji wins as expected….oh yeah, Genji fought with Rindaman 3 times in CZII…
My theory is that CZ III is going to be a prequel. If you look at many other films it always tends to follow that way.In the first CZ they talk alot about the previous students that went to suzuran i.e. ken katagiri’s classmates.
There’s also a lot of history with Genji and Tokio that go back to middle school.

i just want to note, that even in Europe the real fans are allready freakin out over the dvds, haha. but just a hint from someone who understands both english, japanese and german: NEVER EVER watch the german dubbed versions of CZ or CZII or you’ll probably die of disappointment

Yeah, I know how it is with bad subbed translation. The first time I got my CZ DVD, it was a real downer when the subbed was so ‘lost in translation’. It sucked big time. I resorted to DL-ing it from the net in the end. *sigh* another 2 months to go till August. The DVD will be out in Japan, and I have a feeling that it will not come with an English translation, just my hunch. I may be wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone will sub it the minute the DVD goes out.
Actually, its kind of funny if you wach both the fan-subbed and the professionally subbed versions. usually, the fan-subbed ones are faster and better translated.

No download link yet. Frustrating isn’t it? Maa, patience is virtue. The DVD will be out in August (I pray and I hope this piece of news is true!). I have been diligently checking on the updates on CZII, and to kill my time, I’ve been re-watching CZ0 as well, and I will continue waiting because I know it’s worth it!

I don’t know what Shun said but the end of CZII left a pretty strong impression that there was going to be a third one..I don’t know..maybe Genji will “graduate” from Susuran and be a side character and that first year kid will take over…or maybe not.
I have no idea though whether its going to be released overseas…however I think not because Japanese movies usually tend to stay in the home market for some reason…I maybe wrong though.

Gomen-ne, I really have no idea when it will premier in Singapore or will it ever? I guess you’ll just have to keep your finger crossed for this one. If it doesn’t come to Singapore, you’d probably have to wait for a few more month to another year before the DVD is released. So your best bet will be watching it from streaming sites such as AZTV.

Finally I’ve managed to finish the movie after such a long delay. Definitely awesome and kicked a$$ movie.
I like the whole bunch of Genji’s guys including Makkie hehe.. plus Tamao’s henchmen.
So do you think in the sequel Genji gets to take on Rindaman? Aside from battle with Miura’s of course.

This is just my hunch, but I have a strong feeling that in CZII, Rindaman will be joining forces with Genji and Tamao to fight against their school rival Housen. Even amongst themselves they are very serious in marking their territory in their own school, so I don’t think the (cool kick a$$) guys of Suzuran will let anyone belittle them, what more from an outsiders of a rival school. Just my hunch.
As for the battle between Genji and Rindaman? I cringe at the thought of it cause I don’t like to see two characters I like so much, fighting. Hehehe. If the duel does happen, I’m thinking, Rindaman would probably have the upper hand.
You know, with this talk and all, it’s making me becoming impatient for CZII. *giggles*. Really can’t wait. Pray it’ll be as great as Crows Zero.

Haven’t got the chance to finish the movie yet. I’m still half way through. But, yes.. Serizawa is so kakkoi ne. Compare to Oguri’s Genji, I favor Serizawa too
Btw, Ji-hoo (Korean’s Rui) is getting a lot better in recent episodes. I hope he’ll keep it that way. Gu Jun-pyo is the absolute hunk, he’s totally adorable.

Well, I couldn’t help it. Serizawa was the aloof type, matured, low-profile and way cooler compared to Genji. Don’t you think so? Demo ne, I totally give my kudos to Oguri Shun here! He really deserved the best actor award for his performance in this movie.
